Month 1

FOCUS : GRATITUDE

Gratitude is perhaps one of the most simple tools within KyndHub, but we also believe that it is the most fundamental. For the first month of the rollout, we want to align the focus of employees with focusing on their own gratitude. As we explain in the email, expressing gratitude is an important part of kindfulness. It puts negativity in perspective and allows us to take time to focus on the good things we have.

Sharing gratitude on KyndHub is extremely easy to do. Simply click on the Writing Icon, and chose the "I am grateful for" prompt. Finding something positive to be appreciative of can completely shift our perspective from a negative mindset, to a positive, thankful one. A good way to incorporate this into the workplace and build community between employees would be to encourage employees to share things throughout their work day that they are thankful for. (Ex. "I am grateful that my coworker helped me with a task that I was struggling with today.)

A great way to encourage the habit of sharing gratitude would be to encourage employees to share something they are grateful for one time each week. This will help them get used to the platform, and if more employees are engaged, individual employees will feel more comfortable posting on KyndHub.

[Greeting]

This month our theme in KyndHub will be gratitude. Over the course of the next few months, we will be looking at the five pillars that make up “kindfulness”. Kindfulness is the practice of focusing on how intentional acts of kindness and volunteering impact ourselves and others. The practice is similar to mindfulness, which is the practice of maintaining awareness in the present moment. This month we will be talking about gratitude. Expressing gratitude on a daily basis is extremely beneficial for creating a positive outlook. There are many ways to express gratitude everyday: keeping a list of things you are thankful for, expressing them to others, and tracking them on KyndHub!

Be sure to log the things you are grateful for on KyndHub. Focusing on what makes you thankful each day is an important part of the overall daily practice of kindfulness. Another way to boost kindfulness is to give back. We will once again be hosting an onsite volunteer opportunity on [date]. Details will be posted in KyndHub. We look forward to seeing you there!

Expressing gratitude on a daily basis is extremely beneficial for creating a positive outlook. There are many ways to express gratitude everyday: keeping a list of things you are thankful for, expressing them to others, and tracking them on KyndHub!

Think of things you are grateful for and express them in a way you find meaningful. This month, try to share something once a week that you are grateful for on KyndHub. This will help build the habit!

The impact gratitude has on wellness is far reaching. It has been shown to improve physical wellness, sleep, mental wellness, and induce positive change. Check out some stats below:

- 16% fewer physical symptoms

- 10% less physical pain

- 8% more sleep

-25% higher sleep quality

-35% less depressive symptoms

Be sure to continue to log the things you are grateful for on KyndHub. If you have noticed a difference in your mental health or your physical wellness throughout the last couple of weeks, please share it with us! We want  to know how recognizing things you are grateful for has helped improve your outlook or overall days.

Next month we will have a new feature of KyndHub to focus on, so be sure to keep an eye out for that! Thanks for participating in this gratitude challenge.
